It has come at quite an appropriate time as I am now convinced all my searching for the perfect man is over, for now at least.
Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson once sang an ode to all the girls they'd loved before, and I thought I'd pen a column to all the men I thought I could one day find love with!
What better way to pay tribute to the bad dates that have blotted the three years and four months since I have been Singapore's version of Carrie Bradshaw.
Remember the Mr Vain Guy from 2006 that danced on podiums with glo-sticks? Or maybe the Brazilian model who liked to walk the ramp in his underwear?
Without further ado and sung to the tune of Willie and Julio's To All the Girls I've Loved Before:
To all the men I've dated before
Who've travelled in and out my door
How could I have been so wrong
I dedicate this song
To all the men I've dated before.
To all the men who've let me down
Who I see with different women around town
I just want you to know
You've allowed me to grow
To all the men I've dated before.
To the Mr Vain I dated before
Who loved his reflection more and more
Glo-sticks I hope you've thrown
I hope that time has shown
That glo-sticks aren't 'in' anymore.
To all the models I dated before
Who I sooooooo don't respect anymore
I hope you went back to school
Stopped partying and playing a fool
To all the models I've dated before.
To all the men I've hurt before
If I've left you feeling hurt and raw
I'm glad you came along
I now know what I did wrong
Sorry to all the men I've hurt before.
I never thought that almost three and a half years could be summed up so briefly.
But for the most part, penning Sexless has been an amazing and hilarious experience.
Many thanks to all the loyal readers and make sure you watch this space!
