Don't forget to take

CLOTHES

Extra T-shirts take up little luggage space and will come in handy when kids get dirty playing or eating.

A small bottle of detergent is a good idea for longer trips

PACKED FOOD

Packets of seasoning can make a tasty meal out of plain rice if kids don?ft like foreign food.

Soft baby food can be pre-packed in bottles.

Snacks like granola bars can be useful.

Packets of milk and other familiar food can foster a sense of normalcy in unfamiliar places.

Remember milk powder for toddlers.

COMFORT ITEMS

Soft toys or baby bolsters help diminish homesickness. Avoid packing items that are too sentimental though, lest they accidentally get left behind.

BASIC FIRST AID AND INSURANCE

Consider family holiday insurance. Medication for diarrhoea is essential. Headache or car sickness pills come in handy if travelling long distances. Pull-up pants are also advisable.

ENTERTAINMENT

Small toys or a pack of cards can occupy restless children on long rides.
