The monsoon season is not over yet, but Singapore's only Brazilian boutique Beijaflor is already turning up the heat with a new range of swimsuits.

Available from Jan 31, they were designed by the boutique's in-house artistic team, which is also working on an in-house label to add to the current stable of seven Brazilian labels.

Brazilian swimsuit specialists were hired to manufacture the pieces, which are made of Italian fabric that has passed UV and chlorine testing.

Like the clothes that are in store, the swimwear screams Brazilian funk, ranging from daring one-piece suits with sexy cut-outs to bikinis embellished with semi-precious stones, beads and embroidered appliques.

There will be at least 10 designs, each available in just three to four pieces, says Beijaflor owner, Philippines-born Christine Amour- Levar.

If response to the store's offerings so far is any indication, the swimsuits are set to sell like hot cakes.

Prices of the swimsuits range from $199 to $289.

Amour-Levar also reveals that she plans to bring in another five labels from the sunny, beach-mad country, including casual wear label Animale and street-chic Cavendish.

Time to hit the gym and worship the sun, girls.

Beijaflor is at 03-11 Wisma Atria.
