Looks can be deceiving. Flik Flak's range of children's watches may look cute, but they belie accurate, reliable quartz movements, shockproof aluminium cases, scratch-resistant mineral glasses and rugged fabric straps that ensure each timepiece keeps up with the active lives of children.
Its latest collections appeal to both the young and the young at heart. The Happy Days 2008 Collection is inspired by nature with motifs of butterflies, birds and cats in various shades of pink, violet and white. Check out "Summer Birds" - elegant enough to be a casual watch for Mom on the weekends.
L-R: Summer Birds, Blooming Heart and Batman
Also noteworthy is the "Blooming Heart" set ($99) from the Spring Treasures Collection. This pink-toned watch is set with crystal stones and comes in a special mirrored chest, complete with a lucky charm bracelet and a ring.
Boys are not left out either - the rugged "Batman" ($69) depicts the Caped Crusader on its strap with the Batman logo on the dial centre. It also comes with a matching logo pointer.
Flik Flak watches are available in all SWATCH Boutiques.
Crocs go Oriental
Crocs were once synonymous with plastic-ky, chunky designs. The latest additions to its Spring/Summer 2008 Collection are set to change that impression.
The Crocs Karaqusa ($119.95+) is inspired by an Arabesque design which is embossed on the toe cap and heel of the shoe. The lightweight shoe has suede leather uppers and a base made of Croslite (TM). This men's shoe is available in three color combinations of pearl white/ivory, pearl white/black and khaki/eucalyptus.
L-R: Crocs Celete Lace-Up and Crocs Karaqusa.
The Crocs Celeste Lace-Up ($149.95+) updates the popular Celeste model with a lace-up ribbon motif. It has additional lining at the instep for extra comfort, and is made of canvas and Croslite (TM). This ladies' design is available in three colour combinations of gold/eucalyptus, chocolate/cotton candy and black/copper.
These two limited-edition designs were created by the Crocs Japan team and are available in Crocs stores in Singapore.
