Vichy Bi-White Reveal is the latest arsenal of whitening skin care from Vichy Laboratoires.
Its claim to fame is being the first range of whitening skin care to contain Ceramide WhiteTM - a family of de-pigmenters that have been developed by L'Oréal's Research Division to treat and correct skin pigmentation, and control melanin production even before your skin starts to make it.
Another benefit of Ceramide WhiteTM is that it helps skin to to maintain and regulate the skin's barrier's permeability to water and also retain moisture.
In a three-step process that can be incorporated into your daily beauty routine, the Double Corrective Whitening Deep Cleansing Foam cleans skin first, before the Double Corrective Whitening Lotion, which is a toner, is applied to correct darkened complexion and brown spots.
Then finish off with the Double Corrective Whitening Essence, a water-in-oil emulsion that helps to smoothe complexion and lends a "soft focus" effect to skin.
The process was easy enough to follow, and each of the products did not have an excessive fragrance. My face felt clean and soft after washing with the Cleansing Foam, although do be aware that a little of it goes a long way. a pea-sized amount is enough to create a lot of foam during washing. On the plus side, your skin will not feel overly taut even if you do go overboard with the foam, as it contains glycerin to prevent skin from drying out.
I liked the Whitening Essence, as it was not oily to the touch and has a matt finish, but still went on smoothly during application.
The formula also comes with some other goodies, such as salicyclic acid to slough off dead surface skin cells, LHA to stimulate cell regeneration and skin smoothening ability, Vitamin CG for its melanin blocker and surface exfoliation properties and Vitamin E for its protective effect against free radicals.
A word of caution though - if you're looking to keep that hard-earned tan that you just achieved from your most recent beach holiday, do note that Vichy's Bi-White Reveal is pretty efficient at ensuring you get your fair skin back.
