Michelle Chia will beat Fann Wong to the wedding aisle. The 33- year-old TV actress is marrying actor Shaun Chen, 30, on May 10, the latter told Lianhe Wanbao yesterday.

Their banquet will be on May 11 and their two-week Europe honeymoon will hopefully start the next day, he added.

They are considering a hotel banquet at either The Ritz-Carlton or Shangri-La, he said.

It will be ahead of Fann's wedding, which is expected to take place in September.

Chen said he proposed to Chia, his girlfriend of four years, at the Equinox restaurant complex at the top of Swissotel the Stamford early this year.

He wanted to propose privately but the restaurant had an open layout and about 30 other guests were around. Still, he sang for her the Jacky Cheung ballad, Your Name My Surname, before asking her to marry him.

'She said yes immediately. We were both moved to tears,' he said.
