KUALA KANGSAR, MALAYSIA: Young Malaysian women should be alert and not allow themselves to be used as mules by international drug syndicates.

Cases of women being duped into drug trafficking would continue to rise if they were gullible, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz at the state-level International Anti-Drug Day here yesterday.

He said many naive young women ended up being tricked by foreigners into becoming drug mules for international drug rings.

More than 40 Malaysians, mostly women, are jailed in several countries, including the United States, England, Brazil, China, Japan and Venezuela for drug trafficking. -- Bernama
