It's going to be a bumper summer if you're a Mum-to-be.
There are plenty of sexy swimsuits to chose from to ensure you are one red-hot mama around the pool or at the beach.
That's unlike a few years ago, when the frumpy mumsie costumes around didn't help your morning sickness. Now, at least six stores here offer maternity swimwear that delivers in the style stakes.
Just last month, American maternity label 9mois brought in maternity swimwear due to customer demand.
Their tankinis and one-piece swimsuits are especially popular, as 'Asian customers aren't very keen on showing off their growing tummy', says managing director Maggie Yeo.
While skinnier types might think they can get away with wearing normal suits in larger sizes, it's not a good idea.
As Deborah Ng, owner of local multi-label boutique Maternity Exchange points out, the maternity tankinis she sells are longer to leave room for your tummy to grow. Her one-piece suits are made of extremely stretchy fabric that can accommodate growth while the garment stays in shape, she adds.
Some tips: Tankinis with gathers near the waist are great, as they leave room for expanding tummies. If you still want to appear slim, opt for darker colours.
Shy about your tummy? Go for a design with a low back - that area, at least, doesn't gain weight.
Still, a baby bump's something to be proud of. So be confident that in the right swimwear, you'll look just swell.
