REDKEN BRINGS YOU THE HOTTEST LOOKS FOR HAIR FOR SFF 08

As a departure from last season's very finished, polished looks, hair for Spring/Summer 2008 is rougher, with a matte finish. Products are used to take down shine.

We're seeing everything from full, exaggerated shapes to re-interpreted classics from the '40s to natural, unfinished, no-statement looks. You can see the evolution from a playful, quirky woman to one who is modern, sophisticated and feminine with wispy strands that fall naturally around her face," says hair mastro Guido.

A NEW TAKE ON FEMININE SHAPES

Think Ava Gardner and Brigitte Bardot, classic styles of the '40s are given a thoroughly modern makeover. Loose tendrils that fall naturally around the face are irresitibly feminine.

Get the look:

Give the classic chignon a classy edge. Backcomb sections with a brush. Roll sections and pin randomly, leaving stray hairs to fall naturally around the face. For lasting control, mist on forceful 23 super strength finishing spray.

Create some drama with hot rollers and a 'donut" ( around mesh used to create buns). Apply full frame 07 protective volumizing mousse to damp hair, rough dry and set hair in rollers. Remove rollers when cool, apply a little align 12 ultra-straight balm and pull hair into a ponytail. Backcomb ponytail, pull it through the "donut" and tuck ends under.

Work with your fingers when pulling out hair from the front, sides and back. hair should look slightly messy.
