It was no Miss Universe or Miss World pageant, but one local lass has brought Singapore to global attention when she participated and came back with the title of "Miss Intercontinental Asia-Pacific" at the Miss Intercontinental pageant, which was held in Poland this year.
Over the 20 days of competition, air stewardess Lillian Lee, 24, acted as ambassador to promote Singapore's food, culture and uniqueness, with the finals being held in the Musical Dom in Zarbse, Poland on Oct 25. She was up against 56 other delegates from all over the world. She won local beauty pageant Miss Singapore Sweetheart, and was chosen to represent Singapore as "Miss Singapore International".
No plastic surgery for this natural-born beauty, but organisers said that Ms Lee was groomed for one year before going to compete in Poland.
