THEY are not called foxes for nothing. Ms Judyvein Cheng, 26, a freelance model and Black Fox, picked up pool just over a year ago.

They have a quick mind, and can be crafty.

Looking classy in their black satin vests, tight pants and high-cut leather boots, these women - aka the Guinness Black Foxes - dare you to beat them at a game of pool at The Dubliner along Penang Road.

The prizes? Two free pints of Guinness Draught.

And a pair of tickets to the pro-level Guinness 9 Ball Tour at the Orchid Country Club on 13 to 15 Jul.

The Black Fox Roving Event starts 7.30pm tonight at The Dubliner.

Ms Tan Sue Ann, a student, rates herself seven out of 10 for her pool-playing skills.

If you beat them and score the winning tickets to the tournament, you get another two pints and probably a chance to play next to top pool players.

But first, get to know the opponents standing between you and your free tickets.

Her fellow Fox - Ms Tan Sue Ann, 21, a student - has seven years of pool-playing experience under her black patent leather belt.

Both rate themselves seven out of 10 on their skills at the pool table.

Ms Cheng said: 'My winning formula is slow but steady.

'For scoring, I maintain my accuracy in aiming my shots, and I strive to be consistent in my playing throughout.'

Ms Tan revealed her weakness lies in her restlessness.

She cannot play for too long and she cannot be kept waiting.

'I cannot play past five games,' she confessed.

'And I hate it when my opponent is on the ball the whole time, and I don't get to play,' she added, putting on a mock pout.

Ms Cheng said: 'Guys do try to talk about pool with me, but no one has dared to ask me for my number yet. I'm still waiting!'

Guess with free booze at the end of the game, she may have to wait a bit longer. But who knows?
